Five Suns Saga is a collection of short stories and novellas about a post-apocalyptic world. The stories all connect to tell of a world lost to political greed and chaos and includes the typical apocalyptic themes with a bit of espionage for some added action. Jim Heskett tells a marvelous story that all dystopian and apocalyptic fans will thoroughly enjoy. Each story seamlessly connects to the next and you do not realize you are reading separate short stories.
The action and thrilling adventures are nonstop from the get go. Heskett has created fantastic characters and develops each one in a superior manner. His protagonists are all likable survivor types and his antagonists are easy to hate. The writing is smooth and creates a page turning experience.
This is a saga that I would highly recommend to all fans of the dystopian and apocalyptic genre. It will provide you with the action and adventure you crave in these broken down cities. The settings are described so well that you see yourself as one of the few left to scrounge and survive. A fantastic collection of stories from Mr. Heskett.
